

For many years the annual report was a 24-page insert in Voices magazine. Here is one particular simply-designed cover that I’ve always liked.







This 36-page, self-cover magazine was published three times per year by Benedictine University’s office of Marketing and Communications. The ongoing challenge was to keep the design fresh and fully engage readers. Each issue contained a feature article that presented the opportunity for creative layouts. One of my strong points as a designer is enhancing the editorial content through layout and typography so that the messages are clearly imparted to the reader. Pretty is great—but communication is the goal.
